Oyster party (Anse de Gouermel)

We are back on Fabule and getting ready for our next adventure!

(Never ending) boat projects

After spending the winter on the hard in Tréguier (Brittany, France), Fabule is back on the water with a fresh coat of anti-fouling. But before we can leave, we still have a few boat projects (maintenance and enhancements) to complete. There is also an AIS issue to resolve (we can see other boats, but they cannot see us).

The major enhancement of this season: with help of Boreal, we installed a Starlink dish to make our internet access more reliable, even when in remote locations.

Drying out in good company

Following the experienced lead of catamaran owner Serge, we took Fabule to the Anse de Gouermel to spend the night on the beach. Jon and Jessica, owners of recently launched SOA joined the party. Thanks to Jon, we can share this amazing footage of our drying out experience:

While the boat was neatly set on the sand, we went down the rear ladder. We had a few hours on the dry to check our anodes and discover this beautiful place.

There are oyster farms in Anse de Gouermel. Serge invited us for an oyster tasting on his catamaran, which concluded this day beautifully.

By the time the party was over, the water had gone again. Therefore, we were able to walk back to our boats.

The next morning, we left at high tide and headed back to Tréguier.

Une autre aventure qui commence pour vous. WOW!
A+

Merci France. A+

Joli spectacle ! Contente de retrouver votre post !
Belle suite !
PS : Yan a bien apprécié la dégustation???? 😉

Looks amazing and what great company. Wish we could have joined you. Stay well x

Thanks Denise! While crossing to A Coruna with a smooth downwind, we thought of the more adventurous passage with Bryan 2 years ago 🙂

Bises. Chantal
