Happy New Year 2023

When looking back at the journey we accomplished during this first year, our main takeaways are:

Discovery

We covered more than 4000 nautical miles, mostly powered by the wind, discovering stunning landscapes and beautiful towns. We love to share our discoveries with you via this blog.

Connecting

We met amazing people in the places we explored as well as amongst the sailing community. We are grateful for all the friendship and generous help we experienced.

Resilience

We prepared refined plans, only to start them over again because of changing circumstances. We went through a steep learning curve and faced all kinds of adversity.

Liberty

We adapted to the confined space of a boat while at the same time enjoying the greatest liberty of our lives.

What’s next?

In 2023, we intend to explore the Mediterranean sea. We hope for a milder climate, that will allow us to achor in enchanting places and jump into the water (with or without our diving equipment). Furthermore, we look forward to welcoming our daughter and friends aboard Fabule as we travel through this attractive area. Finally, we will continue to learn and consolidate the many skills required for this sailing adventure.

Thanks V! Best wishes for 2023 to you too. We will stay in Cadiz a little longer (nice sun with 17C) and set sails for Gibraltar at the end of the month.
