Back in Malta

It took us 3 days and 3 nights to cross the Ionian Sea from Greece (Zakynthos) to Malta (Mgarr). We enjoyed sailing in these particularly blue waters. By Mediterranean standards in the summer, we had good winds, especially at the beginning and in the middle of our trip.

Bye bye Zakynthos
Aircraft carrier, probably Italian

I wanted to create a little video but for now, my access to a computer is limited. Yan’s laptop did not survive the heat of Greece. Therefore, we currently share one computer for work, leisure and passage planning.

Our next crossing will take us from Malta to Sardinia. Alas, we do not see an optimal wind forecast for the next week.

It was really very nice with you and we miss you! Glad that you arrived well in Malta, and we wish you the best wind on the way to Sardinia. It’s a pity that we didn’t go faster into the water to approach the turtle we saw from the dinghy at the last snorkeling morning in Limni Keri, and also that we didn’t have the camera with us.
I hope we repeat the sailing together soon, maybe at another part of the world….

We would love to meet again somewhere, sometime! Lucky you will be back in Greece in September. I will keep the image of that last turtle in my mind’s eye 😉
