Beautiful cliffs and arches welcomed us when arriving in Lagos. In addition, sailing friends greeted us on the potoon. This place was worth staying for a while, especially with the winter depressions currently blowing.
Amazing shoreline
Approaching Lagos in the morning light, we were enchanted by this limestone coastline.
We then had to check out the arches and caves of Ponta da Piedade more in detail.
On top of the cliff, a convenient wooden walkway takes you along the cliffs and beaches.
Get together in Lagos
Lagos is a seaside resort in the Algarve with historical buildings and an animated center, even in the winter. The marina is well situated for boats wishing to cross to the Canaries. In addition, it is an ideal place to winter a boat. Hence, it offered the chance to meet sailing friends again.
Lagos marina is very protected. Even when the seas are rough and the wind is blowing, the water in the marina remains calm. An appreciated comfort after the constant rocking of the last 2 months.
Christmas vibes
During our stay, Silvia resumed jogging and spinning with Sarah and Phil from Vagrant (Boreal). We caught up with Maria and Johannes from Moggulus who will soon cross to the Canaries and beyond. After crossing their path in Scottland, Norway and now Portugal, we celebrated the coincidence to meet again with Pam, Tom and McDuff from Stealin’ Time. The local christmas market was an opportunity to get in the holiday mood.
However, we have not yet arrived to our final destination. As soon as the weather settles, we will be off to new adventures.

C’est drôle de voir les décorations de Noël au milieu des palmiers et des orangers. Pour les standards des habitants de Lagos, c’est l’hiver. Ils mettent leurs bottes et leurs vestes chaudes.
